Frequently asked questions about the test ride
How long does it last?
- The in-person test ride lasts 1.5 hours, whatever your level: enough time to get to know the Stern' properly and try it on different terrain. The video demo lasts 30 minutes.
Where can I do a test ride?
- In Bordeaux: with our official expert anywhere in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. Everywhere else in France: with our local ambassadors trained by our team. Same format, same quality: a 1.5-hour test adapted to your level.
What if I have never done any boardsports?
- No problem. Learning is very gradual, with all the safety equipment. The stance is natural and the motor makes starting off easy.
Can I test different terrain?
- It is even recommended! The expert shows you what riding a Sternboard feels like on cycle lanes and on forest trails.
How does booking work?
- Simple: you choose your slot, tell us your profile and location. The expert contacts you 24 hours beforehand to confirm the exact location and prepare the right equipment.
Does the video demo replace a physical test ride?
- The video demo gives you all the technical information you need and lets you discover the features in detail. To feel the carving and the gliding experience, a physical test ride is the ideal complement to this first discovery.

Why test ride before you buy?
A test ride removes the two most common worries: the fear of falling and doubts about getting the hang of it. On the Stern', you stand as on a snowboard, slightly sideways, knees bent, and the motor in the rear wheel starts off gently. Above all, the test ride answers the one question no spec sheet can settle: is this board right for you?

Stern'Tour: the test ride tour across several towns
The Stern'Tour is a tour of group test rides, from town to town. The next dates are not set yet: sign up on the Stern'Tour page to be notified.
Sternival: the owners' gathering
The Sternival is an annual event reserved for Stern' owners (by invitation, free), first held in September 2024 in Bordeaux. Next edition: June 2027, in Bordeaux. See the Sternival page for the conditions of participation.
