Who it is for
For anyone who rides every day: the rear tyre wears faster than for an occasional rider, and replacing it regularly keeps braking good.
For carving fans, who put a lot of load on the drive wheel in banked turns: checking wear is part of routine maintenance.
For rental companies, who need to plan for this replacement like any other wear part.
A routine maintenance replacement
After several months of daily commuting or regular rides, the rubber of the rear tyre becomes smooth, especially on the side that takes the most load in turns. Replacing it takes a few minutes with the tools supplied with the Stern' (Allen key, T-key). If in doubt, our after-sales service will guide you.
Rear tyre and configuration compatibility
The rear tyre is the same on all Stern' configurations, 1000 W and 2000 W: a single part number, nothing to check before ordering. To keep the original grip, plan on replacing it once a year.
What's included
The rear tyre is delivered on its own. The fitting tools (Allen key, T-key) are supplied with the Stern'.
Compatible accessories
For maintaining your Stern': the spanner and the T-key. For demanding off-road riding: the all-terrain front wheels.
