A higher average spend than a bike or scooter rental

In direct sales, the average basket is around €3,000. Enough to aim for a daily or half-day rental price well above a standard bike: the Stern' is a premium offer, not just a low-cost addition to the range. A fleet's profitability depends mainly on turnover rate and maintenance costs. The Stern' was designed to reduce the latter (see below).

A professional skateboard designed for intensive use

For a fleet exposed to sand, mud or snow, the Stern' takes intensive use without repeated breakages: IP67 waterproof motor built into the wheel, a chassis you can clean with a hose, and an optional mechanical brake as a second safety system. A full charge costs about €0.15 for 50 km: your running costs stay low all season.

The backpack battery also makes fleet management simpler: while one battery charges, another keeps the board running. The equipment is not left idle between two rentals.

Quick training for staff and customers

Staff do not need lengthy training to present the product to a customer who has never ridden: it takes a few minutes to get the hang of, with the step-by-step instructions on the Tutorials page, available online directly at the rental site.

For the end customer, the three-wheel balance and the absence of handlebars reassure people who are afraid of falling, while keeping the riding feel that sportier customers are looking for. The same fleet can therefore serve very different profiles without multiplying models.

Common wear parts

The parts that wear most (front tyres, bushings, handle foam, spanner) are sold individually in the shop. Keep a small stock so a board is never out of action in the middle of the season.

Guarantee and insurance

Every Stern' comes with the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity on the whole product. Skateboard insurance offered to the end customer in a rental is up to the rental company or its usual insurer: the Stern' stays in the same regulatory category as other powered personal transporters, which makes it easier to include in an existing rental contract.
