Electric skateboard assembled in France: where production stands
More space, same method.
From a garage to real premises
The Sternboard story starts with tinkering: prototypes welded at night, paid for out of Édouard's salary, and a failed four-wheeler before the right three-wheel design was found. The Our story page tells how it all began.
In 2024, the product is ready and the first partnerships are signed. The original workshop becomes too small: new premises are needed to keep up with demand.
From craft production to more structured manufacturing
The goal: move from workshop manufacturing to more structured production, to meet fast-growing demand. This is not offshoring: design and assembly stay in France.
French skateboard: what actually changes
The new premises change neither the specifications nor the materials of the eight configurations. What changes: we can produce at the pace of demand, with the same quality control as in the old workshop.
For professionals
More regular production also helps professionals: rental companies, upmarket hotels and campsites, in France and Belgium.
