An urban nomad lives between several places, sometimes several cities, and wants a way of getting around that does not complicate their logistics.
The guide
The Stern' meets this need with its removable backpack battery: it charges from a standard socket, in temporary accommodation or a coworking space, without relying on fixed infrastructure. The maintenance-free brushless motor also limits technical work while you are travelling far from any after-sales service you know.
For this profile, what matters is not the steepest slope you can climb but how easy it is to carry the board between two trains, two flats or two countries. A three-wheeled electric board like the Stern' is simpler to store than a folding bike, and quicker to get going than a scooter you have to unfold. IP67 waterproofing adds tolerance to unexpected weather, useful when you do not yet know the climate of a new city.
The battery backpack holds the battery and a few personal belongings. See the accessory page for its exact dimensions.
A 1000 W configuration with a 15 or 20 Ah backpack battery covers most repeated urban journeys between two places you live. For longer distances between a temporary home and your workplace, a 25 Ah battery with 100 km of range leaves more margin without charging in between. See The Stern' page to compare the available configurations.
