The Stern' is a three-wheel all-terrain electric skateboard, IP67 waterproof, with the motor built into the rear wheel and a backpack or integrated battery depending on the configuration.

Tarmac during the week, sand at the weekend, snow in winter: one board is enough. Thinking of buying second-hand? Before you buy, it is worth knowing what allows a board to cope with several terrains, and what wears out fastest.
Many second-hand models are made for roads and cycle lanes. The Stern' covers more ground: its chassis can be hosed down after a ride on sand or in mud, and its IP67 waterproofing covers rain and slush.
Power does not change with the terrain: the configuration (1000 W or 2000 W, 50, 75 or 100 km battery) determines what the board can handle. On loose sand or uphill, climbing ability and motor torque matter more than top speed. On snow, the Snow Kit (sold as an accessory) replaces the standard rear wheel.
On a used electric skateboard, the condition of the battery matters as much as that of the board: a worn battery loses range without it showing.
