The Stern' weighs 17 kg without the backpack battery, and the Stern' Urban 20 kg including its integrated battery. The battery weighs 3 kg (integrated 10 Ah), 4 kg (backpack 15 Ah), 5.5 kg (backpack 20 Ah) or 7 kg (backpack 25 Ah).
The guide
The battery comes off and is carried separately in a backpack, which reduces the weight you carry in one piece when loading it into a car boot, through a building entrance or into a train's luggage hold.
Nomadic use is not a daily commute: it is a board taken out once or twice a week, or when you travel. With its removable battery and IP67 waterproof chassis, the Stern' can be stored between rides without any particular maintenance.
The backpack battery charges separately from the chassis, with a 10 A fast charger or a standard charger included depending on the configuration. Between rides, it is stored separately, which takes up less space than a board with a fixed integrated battery.
