The guide
Sternboard is a small Bordeaux company founded by Édouard Aubert and Adrien Ladan. After-sales service is handled by a small team, not by an outsourced call centre. This does not guarantee an immediate solution in every case, but you talk to someone who knows the product.
A French brand answers you in French, with no time difference. Spare parts (wheels, batteries, bushings) generally come straight from the manufacturer, without going through an importer. Replacement times can therefore be shorter, depending on the stock available when you ask.
A small skateboard manufacturer in France does not have the logistics of an international group: stock, the number of technicians or production times can vary with the season. That is the other side of being close by. It is up to you to weigh the two.
